Game, Set, Match…Casey Lynne’s Wimbledon Bat Mitzvah Extravaganza

July 15, 2009 at 7:53 pm (Uncategorized)

It was our pleasure here at Suburban video to capture the Bat Mitzvah of Casey Lynne Yougentob. Our 3rd Yougentob Bat Mitzvah, (Casey Lynne is the youngest of three daughters) the festivities took place at Washington Hebrew Congregation where Casey Lynne was called to the Torah. After the ceremony, party planner Martha Benderman coordinated a beautiful Wimbledon themed reception. Outfitted with the proper purple and green Wimbledon decor, Wii tennis, dance floor, and dancers, there was plenty of entertainment for all the guests who were in attendance. We again want to thank the Yougentob’s for letting us participate, in what would become their daughter’s special day! Also, special thanks to Michael Bennett Kress.

Sony XDCAM EX Cameras

July 6, 2009 at 4:26 pm (Uncategorized)

In recent years high-definition (HD) has become very prevalent with consumers and media alike. With a greater number of consumers gaining the ability to utilize HD, it is up to us to deliver products and services using high-definition to meet this trend. With its powerful lighting ability HD can be incredible visually, however when it comes to filming in low light areas, many HD cameras fall short. Technology however, has now made it possible to capture the brilliance of the events we film in the highest of quality. Recently Suburban video has acquired a series of Sony XDCAM EX cameras for use in filming our customer’s special events. The SONY EX1 camera is the best low light camera (the king of low-light HD cameras really) and though it costs a little more than other HD cameras, it more than makes up for this cost in technological brilliance. There really isn’t a better camera for us to us to use in order to capture your special event. Its (3) ½ inch cmos chips give it a range of power unprecedented in the industry. The SONY EX1 camera is also the only camera whose chips are true 1920 by 1080 resolution. In addition, unlike the SHD (industry standard camera’s) 1/3-inch chips, the SONY EX1 camera uses half-inch chips. The camera also records to solid state flash instead of the technologically inefficient tap or hard drive. (What this mean for our customers is that we’re filming your event with the best camera on the market, in a non-intrusive manner.) These cameras boast pristine HD picture quality, efficiency, and are a great resource for utilizing HD capability for a broad range of HD application and cinematography. Suburban takes pride in these new cameras because it helps ensure that our consumers are getting the best in cinematography and video today!

National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Candlelight Vigil

July 2, 2009 at 2:23 pm (Uncategorized)

Video Link National Law Enforcement Vigil: http://www.suburbanvideo.com/nleomf09/

The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Candlelight Vigil is our favorite and most difficult shoot every year. Producer Bill Bowen and a crew of three filmed this dramatic event with the new Sony EX-1 high definition cameras. Their compact size and amazing low light capabilities allowed quiet, behind the scenes coverage of this moving event. This memorial vigil honors the police officers who have fallen in the line of duty, and those officers who continue to serve. Suburban video wants to thank The National Law Enforcement Memorial Fund for allowing us to work with them, and want to give thanks to the thousands of officers everywhere who continue to put their lives on the line protecting us.

W Welcome to Wonderland! The new W Washington DC contacted Suburban to produce an electric high impact montage. The video kicked off the purple carpet dramatic and fun welcome to the 300 new employees of this fabulous new venue. The montage included images of the renovation, staff, W brand, Bliss® Naked Body Butter, Signature Decadent Dessert at J&G Steakhouse, the Living Room and W Washington D.C.’s lounge and roof terrace with unprecedented views of the President’s abode and beyond. The montage was played on three large screens in the ballroom just before the General Ed Baten welcomed everyone. The employees were definitely WOWED in the W style.
