Suburban Video Film Hits 110,000 Views on YouTube!
This was the first film Suburban Video ever put on YouTube. The response from the Persian community was overwhelming, so much that YouTube made it a featured video. Inquiries came from all over the world, as far away as the Netherlands, Germany, Sweden, and Canada. The viral impact from people seeing this all over the world has been overwhelming!
The background for this Persian wedding was the Crystal Room at the Willard Intercontinental Hotel in Washington, DC. Bill Bowen and Cara Bowen filmed in high definition the story of the bridal couple’s day in dramatic cinematic style. The fabulous ceremony sofreh and party décor was provided by Patrice Golesorkhi of Exclusively Events. Len DePas of Photographer’s Gallery took breathtaking photographs. The reception was held in Willard’s ballroom and featured dramatic lighting and ethnic music by the famous Davood Behboodi that kept the party hopping all night. It was a magical day and we are honored to be part of Camelia and Aarash’s wedding day.
TEA CHINOIS at the Willard goes YouTube!
The Willard InterContinental Hotel in Washington, DC, wanted to promote their Tea Chinois in connection with the Terra Cotta Warriors display at the Smithsonian Institute. International exposure was needed, utilizing social networks like YouTube, Facebook, etc. Bill Bowen, Senior Producer at Suburban Video was brought in to produce a short web promotional film that highlighted construction and final design. Willard Hotel Chefs, Courtney Goldian and Luc Dendievel, talked about the special Chinese inspired cuisine. Jim Hewes from the Round Robin Bar talked about the Willard’s fabulous cocktail called Mary Manderine, comprised of Cantonese ginger liquor, fresh infused raspberries and sparkling wine.
TEA CHINOIS…
The Willard InterContinental’s famous Peacock Alley underwent a sultry “Chinese-esque” transformation for the Tea Chinois, a dramatic afternoon tea experience. Celebrating Terra Cotta Warriers: Guardians of China’s first Emperor exhibit which opened at the National Geographic Museum on November 19. Event designers Kelly B. Jenkins of Capital Décor and Events and Ayran Kanter of Eventscapes, re-imagined the grand Peacock Alley Promenade where Afternoon Tea is served, with a multi-sensual experience inspired by Chinoiserie, the 17th and 18th Century Western esthetic representing fanciful European interpretations of Chinese styles. Musical accompaniment for Tea Chinois is provided by Guzheng master Alice Kan. The Guzheng is a plucked string instrument that is part of the zither family.

Room Service Party, Washington DC
This awesome promotional party, designed by Heidi Berger of Room Service, had everything! It was all featured at the LongView Gallery, with gorgeous arrangements of furniture set up for display. Each section had it’s own atmosphere and theme. Throughout the venue, all of the unique and talented artists were featured on the walls. The center of the gallery starred NYX, including a saxophone and drums, keeping the party hopping. Posh Booth provided fun pictures to remember the event. The timelapse filming by Suburban Video helps to make this video exciting. The Mount Vernon Club’s garden, hosted twin ceremonies for Lauren and Arsch. On a sunny summer day, the bride along with her attendants in a deep canary yellow, looked stunning! Even the bride’s little pet dog was adorned with yellow to be a part of the festivities. Kate Taylor of P.W. Feats planned everything perfectly; the entire day’s activities were seamless. Bill Bowen of Suburban Video worked along with Formica Photography to capture wonderful images of the event. This was a fusion wedding melding Persian and Western ceremonies, officiated by the Reverend Lance Orndorff, and Dr. Hashem Hosseni. Patrice Golesorkhi of Exclusively Events designed the gorgeous Persian Sofreh display. Butlers served delectable hot hors d’oeuvres during the photo session by Classic Catering, who also provided the delicious meal. Guests danced the night away down the street to the Peabody Library. Amaretto Band provided the exotic music for the occasion. The beautiful fabrics set the mood in the the room making it more festive They were provided by Party Rentals, Ltd. Fun was had by all right up to the ending shot of the bride and groom standing under the stars at midnight in Mount Vernon square.

Fun at Sunset, at National Harbor….
The Sunset Room at National Harbor was the place to be on November 4th! The Sunset Room is DC’s most anticipated new space with its spectacular floor to ceiling windows and outdoor terraces offering panoramic views of the Potomac River and area landmarks with gorgeous sunset views. Terri Boyd of the Sunset Room provided a wonderful new space for corporate and social events. Jeff Fox of Capital Décor and Events wanted to come up with a décor design that would highlight all of their talents and the room. He provided dramatic room décor with a mix of romantic candles, antique style wood tables, featuring a high tech cube with a 12-foot square four-sided projection piece that could be seen from everywhere in the room. Live picture sculptures on mesh screen allowed the guests to see through to the harbor, and the 16 foot bar held a giant disco ball! Many guests arrived via Atlantic Valet’s shuttle bus and were quickly greeted with a display of delectable food, hors d’oeuvres, and sumptuous stations of food by Denise of Instyle Catering. Happening sounds were provided by a terrific DJ, compliments of Bialek Music. Robert Bowen, our talented photographer, captured all of the fun and excitement and made it a night to remember! Suburban Video provided the visuals for the four-sided high-tech cube, including a live feed as the mouth-watering food was being prepared by the fabulous chefs at Instyle Catering, so the guests could see the food they were about to eat. While providing this video playback during the party, Suburban Video also filmed the room set up via a time-lapse camera as well as all of the fun and excitement of the evening’s party.

Fusion Wedding of Anbinh and Jeffrey…

Vietnamese Wedding
This fascinating fusion wedding combining the Vietnamese and American cultures began at the bride’s home. Adorned in a beautiful traditional Vietnamese red dress, the family ceremony was filled with emotion. Union Station and Senate Park was the next stop for fun creative photos with Rodney Bailey. The bride changed for the American wedding into an elegant off the shoulder white gown. This western ceremony was held in the round in the Pavilion Room at the Ronald Reagan Building. A marvelous reception followed in the dramatic atrium in the Ronald Reagan Building. Design and decor provided by Capitol Décor’s Jeffery Fox.
Suburban Video had two large projection screens showing Rodney Baileys fabulous photos from earlier that day. Cara Bowen snapped great zap shot photos for the screens during the evening.
After dinner we projected a historical/family photo montage. Just before the cake cutting came a dramatic same day edit film of the wedding day. Chris Lucarelli expertly blended all the best emotions and fun into a three minute film set to a movie score. The guests were wowed. Many thanks to Sara Muchnick for her expert planning of the wonderful event. Erwin Gomez make-up and attention to detail made everyone beautiful. Killer lighting was provided by Alysha at Digital Lightning.

Fun Facts: Father of the bride gave a tearful speech. Shortly before the birth of the bride, her dad was locked in a concentration camp for several years. His daughter, the love of his life, kept him going. Giving her away at the ceremony was truly dramatic moment for everyone. Tears of Joy flowed by everyone.

Direct your attention to this dynamic promotional film featuring the creative photographers at the Regeti Studio: Amy, Srinu, Ryan and Ben. Filming took place at Regeti Studios, the local Warrenton airport, a train crossing, and a local stream. Bill and Cara Bowen followed the Regeti team on this energetic photo shoot! Chris Lucarelli, Senior Editor at Suburban Video, used adobe after effects to make the photos come to life. The film was a smash hit on the Regeti blog and web page.

The DC ISES awesome Halloween Party included all the DC ISES members in their best disguises as super heroes, bad guys, gangsters, crime fighters, crooks, villains and more! The National Museum of Crime and Punishment was the gathering place with three floors and over 100 interactive exhibits. There was a haunted tour where live actors jumped out to scare everyone, a costume contest, and the food was ghoulishly good! Bill Bowen, Cara Bowen, Tom Trainor, and Lulu went as the ghost buster team. Happy Halloween everyone!
