Fun at Sunset, at National Harbor….

The Sunset Room at National Harbor was the place to be on November 4th! The Sunset Room is DC’s most anticipated new space with its spectacular floor to ceiling windows and outdoor terraces offering panoramic views of the Potomac River and area landmarks with gorgeous sunset views. Terri Boyd of the Sunset Room provided a wonderful new space for corporate and social events. Jeff Fox of Capital Décor and Events wanted to come up with a décor design that would highlight all of their talents and the room. He provided dramatic room décor with a mix of romantic candles, antique style wood tables, featuring a high tech cube with a 12-foot square four-sided projection piece that could be seen from everywhere in the room. Live picture sculptures on mesh screen allowed the guests to see through to the harbor, and the 16 foot bar held a giant disco ball! Many guests arrived via Atlantic Valet’s shuttle bus and were quickly greeted with a display of delectable food, hors d’oeuvres, and sumptuous stations of food by Denise of Instyle Catering. Happening sounds were provided by a terrific DJ, compliments of Bialek Music. Robert Bowen, our talented photographer, captured all of the fun and excitement and made it a night to remember! Suburban Video provided the visuals for the four-sided high-tech cube, including a live feed as the mouth-watering food was being prepared by the fabulous chefs at Instyle Catering, so the guests could see the food they were about to eat. While providing this video playback during the party, Suburban Video also filmed the room set up via a time-lapse camera as well as all of the fun and excitement of the evening’s party.

Time Lapse, 4-sided projection, live feed, plasmas.
