Father Daughter ISES Award Competition
This year our chapter had record award entries – many from new members and first time entrants. This was wonderful to see! We love to see and share the talents within our chapter. The stakes were high this year with so much competition, variety and new talent.
This Awards Gala was especially interesting for our company. As many of you know Cara Bowen joined the company as a full time team member just two years ago. She has grown up in this industry and in Suburban Video. This is her first year as an ISES member and we were all honored for her to have the opportunity to enter the competition. Cara was nominated for both of her entries in the videography category. What makes this interesting is that her father, Bill Bowen, Founder and President of Suburban Video for 25+ years was also nominated for an entry in the videography category! This father/daughter duo was in competition with one another with Cara right out of the gate!! So the bragging rights that was to result to the winner will be ever more impressive within our Suburban team! Even though Bill “lost”, he still won as her mentor and teacher. Below we’ve recapped the Winning Entry as well as those nominated in the category that it was up against.
